Veil, 베일 -내면의숲-
숲을 바라볼 때마다 그 안에 켜켜이 쌓인 시간과 감정을 느낀다. 카메라로 포착한 장면들을 겹쳐내는 과정은 단순한 풍경의 재현이 아니라, 내면 깊은 곳에 잠들어 있던 울림을 불러내는 일이다. 그렇게 겹겹이 쌓여 풍경 너머의 형상으로 변모한 숲은 더 이상 현실의 풍경이 아닌, 시간의 흔적을 품고 고요로 이끄는 심리적 공간이 된다.
추상화된 숲은 단순한 자연의 풍경에 머물지 않는다. 동일한 숲을 시간과 각도의 층위 속에서 기록하고, 그것을 중첩과 합성으로 되새기는 과정은 사진의 재현적 기능을 해체하며, 보이지 않던 세계의 결을 드러낸다. 형태와 경계는 흐려지고, 그 자리에 시간의 흔적과 내면의 기억이 담긴 새로운 장이 펼쳐진다.
그 숲은 보는 이로 하여금 잠시 걸음을 멈추게 하고, 사유와 명상의 길로 이끈다. 세부 묘사가 사라진 자리에는 고요와 울림이 동시에 머무는 심리적 풍경이 자리한다. 생명과 회복, 치유라는 숲의 원형적 상징은 내적 평온을 향한 나의 바람과 겹쳐지며,
내 작업은 사진의 매체적 한계를 확장하는 동시에, 숲의 추상성 속에서 관람자가 자신의 내면과 교감할 수 있는 창을 열어준다.
나의 사진은 자연과 인간, 외부 풍경과 내적 풍경이 교차하는 지점에서 탄생한다. 숲의 다층적 이미지가 생성하는 모호함은 단순히 시각적 실험을 넘어, 존재의 본질과 심리적 치유에 대한 예술적 사유로 이어진다. 이 작업은 자연을 매개로 한 내면의 탐구이자, 추상적 표현을 통해 드러나는 예술의 새로운 가능성에 대한 제안이다.

Veil, 베일 -내면의숲-
Each time I gaze upon a forest, I sense the layers of time and emotion that dwell within it. Overlapping scenes through my camera is not an act of reproduction but a way of awakening what lies dormant in the depths of my mind. Through accumulation and layering, the forest transforms into a psychological space one that holds traces of time and leads us toward silence.
The abstracted forest goes beyond depiction. Revisiting the same scene across moments and perspectives, and reworking it through layers and synthesis, dissolves photography’s representational boundaries and reveals the subtle textures of an unseen world. Forms and edges blur, giving rise to a field infused with memory and emotion.
This forest invites stillness and reflection. Its archetypal symbols of life and renewal mirror my desire for inner peace. My work extends the boundaries of photography, opening a space where viewers may encounter their own inner landscapes within abstraction.
My photographs arise where nature and humanity meet. The ambiguity of the forest’s multilayered image becomes a meditation on existence and healing an introspective journey through nature and a quiet proposal for new possibilities of art.
