시간의 결, The Texture of Time 

 

매크로 렌즈를 통해 마주한 꽃은 하나의 대상이 아니라, 시간을 품고 있는 존재라는 생각에서 이 작업은 시작되었다. 

프레임 안에는 선명함과 흐려짐, 그리고 흔들림이 함께 존재하고 있었고, 나는 그 안에서 형태보다 시간이 먼저 보였다. 작업은 꽃의 시공간을 겹겹이 중첩하고 그 경계를 아스라하게 지워가며 빛과 색을 더하는 방식으로 완성하였다. 

이 과정에서 중요하게 생각한 것은 꽃의 형태를 사실적으로 재현하는 것이 아니라, 시간이 만들어 내는 ‘시간의 결’ 을 담 아내는 것이었다. 

내가 말하는 ‘시간의 결’은 단순히 지나간 흔적이 아니다. 

 

시간 속에서 끊임없이 변화하며 쌓여 온 존재의 기록이며, 눈에 보이지 않는 시간이 스스로를 드러내는 풍경이다. 이 사진들이, 잠시 우리 곁을 스쳐 지나가는 시간의 결을 함께 바라보는 작은 계기가 되어, 

관객 저마다의 가슴 속에 품고 있는 소중한 순간들을 이 고요한 화면 안에서 자연스럽게 마주할 수 있기를 기대한다.

This work began with the thought that, when encountered through a macro lens, a flower is not merely an object but a presence that holds time within it. Sharpness, blur, and movement coexist within the frame, and there I began to perceive time before form. I completed the work by layering the flower’s spatial and temporal dimensions, gradually dissolving their boundaries, and introducing light and color. What mattered to me in this process was not the realistic representation of the flower’s form, but the evocation of the “texture of time” shaped through its passage. The “texture of time” I speak of is not simply a trace of what has passed. It is a record of existence, continually changing and accumulating through time a landscape in which invisible time reveals itself. I hope these photographs offer a quiet opportunity to contemplate the textures of time that briefly pass beside us, and allow each viewer to encounter, within these still images, the precious moments held within their own heart
