온전하지 않은 기억 / Before Memory was whole   

나는 사라짐을 단순한 부재로 기록하지 않는다. 

이미 사라진 이후에도 남아 있는 무게와 흔적을 바라본다. 

이 작업에서 큐비즘은 형태를 해체하기 위한 기법이 아니라, 

서로 다른 시간의 층위를 하나의 화면 안에서 접어 넣는 방식이다. 

과거의 표면, 현재의 파편, 그리고 복원을 향한 인간의 욕망이 

한 프레임 안에서 서로 충돌하며 새로운 이미지를 만든다. 

복원은 완성을 의미하지 않는다. 

그것은 되돌릴 수 없음을 받아들이는 행위이며, 

그 인정 속에서 남아 있는 것들의 진정한 무게가 드러난다. 

이 연작은 사라짐 자체보다, 사라진 이후에도 여전히 작동하고 있는 

시간과 기억에 대한 기록이다.

I do not record disappearance as absence. 

Instead, I look at the weight and traces that remain even after something has vanished. 

In this work, Cubism is not a method of deconstruction, 

but a way of folding time. 

Surfaces from the past, fragments of the present, and the human desire for restoration collide within a single frame. 

Restoration does not mean completion. 

It is an act of acknowledging what can no longer be restored. 

Within that acknowledgment, the true weight of what remains beg ins to emerge. 

This series asks not simply what has been lost, 

but what continues to operate even after loss.
